ABOUT THE CORPORATE TRAINER
Dr. Nikhil G. obtained his Master’s degree from the University of Pune and moved to the United States to pursue his Ph.D. in Chemistry (Biochemistry) at the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC), after securing a generous Teaching Assistantship ($18,000/year between Aug. 2002 and Aug. 2008). He joined the U.S. National Institutes of Health in Oct. 2008 as a Visiting Fellow. At NIH, the primary focus of his research was on the inositol phosphate-/pyrophosphate-based inhibition of proteins involved in cancer and inflammation. After conducting biomedical research at the NIH and at the University of Massachusetts Medical School (UMMS), Dr. Gokhale briefly worked as a Visiting Research Assistant Professor at UIC. After returning to India in the year 2015, he served as the Associate Director of the Faculty of Doctoral Studies & Research at a private university in Gujarat. His research work has been cited by renowned biomedical researchers, including Dr. Solomon Snyder (Lasker Award Winner, USA). He has also held a leadership position at a Mumbai-based MNC known for its contribution to technical communication.
